About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Solar Electrician to install, test, and commission domestic Solar PV systems as part of our in-house retrofit delivery team. This aligns closely with UK roles where Solar PV Electricians are responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining domestic systems, often working within renewable energy and retrofit programmes. You will be working within ECO and other funded retrofit schemes, ensuring compliance with MCS standards, 18th Edition wiring regulations and health & safety requirements.
This is a permanent, in-house role (not subcontract), joining a team focused on high-quality installations in domestic retrofit environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission domestic Solar PV systems to industry-standard.
- Work within ECO / funded retrofit programmes, supporting whole-house renewable installations.
- Ensure full compliance with MCS standards, BS 7671 (18th Edition), and health & safety regulations.
- Carry out AC/DC wiring, inverter connection, system testing, and commissioning.
- Collaborate as part of an in-house installation team, ensuring high-quality workmanship and excellent customer experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation, site reports, and compliance records.
About You
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, testing, inspection and commissioning procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work safely at height, follow site H&S protocols and deliver high-quality, compliant installations.
