We’re hiring experienced roofers in Dorset to join our mobile teams supporting solar panel installations and maintenance. This is a hands-on, site-based role offering regular subcontractor work under CIS contracts, ideal for roofers looking to transition into the renewable energy sector.
You’ll play a key part in preparing rooftops for solar PV systems and performing follow-up repairs and inspections on completed installations.
Your Role
- Flashing, fixing and sealing around solar fixtures
- Diagnosing and repairing minor roof issues related to PV installs
- Replacing tiles and managing site-specific adjustments
- Supporting warranty inspections and remedial callouts
- Working independently or in small solar install teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in roofing, ideally with solar exposure
- Skilled in tile/slate removal and reinstatement
- Comfortable working at height and on pitched roofs
- Basic understanding of solar panel mounting systems (training available)
- CSCS card or equivalent (preferred)
- Own tools, PPE and transport
- Public liability insurance (if subcontracting under CIS)
