We are looking for experienced solar electricians in Dorset to join our mobile teams working across domestic solar PV and battery storage projects. This is a field-based, subcontractor role ideal for those looking for flexible, ongoing work in the renewable energy sector. Split 50:50 between new installs and maintenance, you will carry out everything from inverter swap-outs to battery checks and system diagnostics.
Your Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain solar PV systems on domestic rooftops
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and inverter replacements
- Install and maintain battery storage units
- Support customers with system upgrades or warranty issues
- Work solo or in pairs, with jobs routed regionally around Dorset
- Maintain high safety standards and quality of workmanship
What You’ll Need
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Solar PV install experience (essential)
- Battery storage experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of DC and AC systems
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Own tools, PPE and public liability insurance
- Registered under CIS or operating via Ltd Co
