The Role

We are recruiting a Technical Trainer for our resilience and operations training team. You will deliver safety‑critical training, both theoretical and practical, to operatives in rail infrastructure, aviation, and high‑risk technical sectors. You will manage training programmes, maintain compliance records, and support continuous improvement of course content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver classroom‑based and on‑site training for accredited programmes (e.g. AET Level 3, CAVA or equivalent)
  • Create, maintain and update training materials — including lesson plans, assessment papers, guides and practical exercises
  • Track and document delegate progress, competency assessments, and accreditation needs
  • Carry out internal quality assurance (IQA) and competency assurance assessments
  • Plan and coordinate resource deployment, training schedules and incident‑response training in collaboration with operations and management
  • Identify and implement improvements in training delivery, assessment methods, and course structure
  • Mentor and coach other trainers or junior staff to raise the standard of training delivery
  • Stay current with industry legislation, health and safety regulations, and sector standards
  • Liaise proactively with clients, subcontractors and the operational workforce to ensure training meets business needs
  • Travel regularly to sites across the UK, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential

What We Are Looking For:

  • Significant experience delivering technical training in infrastructure, rail, or aviation sectors
  • Relevant accreditation (e.g. CAVA Level 3, IQA Level 4, or equivalent)
  • Ability to design, adapt and deliver effective learning content for both theory and practical sessions
  • Excellent presentation skills — confident training small and large groups
  • Strong organisational skills, with meticulous record‑keeping for training and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders
  • Self‑motivated, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Desirable: experience in health and safety standards, compliance and regulated environments (especially in rail or aviation)

Life assurance
Performance bonus scheme
Professional development and training opportunities (career progression into senior trainer, IQA or curriculum‑design roles)
Employee assistance programme

Why Join Us

  • Make a direct impact on UK infrastructure by training frontline operatives in rail, aviation and other high‑risk technical sectors
  • Join a growing, mission‑driven training business where your role contributes to workforce readiness and resilience
