Client brief: Our client is a world leading producer of material surfacing treatments, with sites all over the world and offering interested candidates the opportunity to build a new career in engineering with excellent training regimes and many opportunities for progression.
KEY INFORMATION
- Reason for vacancy: Increased demand
- Contract: Temp to perm
- Basic pay: £13.07ph + Shift Allowance (£1.41ph for 33 hours per week & £3.37 for 4 hours per week = £60.01 per week)
- Shifts: Monday to Thursday 7.45am-4.15pm, Fridays 7.45am-12.45pm
- Breaks: 30 min lunch, early and late 10-minute break
- Overtime: Mon-Sat 1.5x basic rate, Sunday x2 basic rate (all overtime is optional)
- Facilities: Staff parking, canteen and very clean and professional environment
- Additional Benefits: Annual appraisals, Training and licenses provided to all staff (FLT Counterbalance license, Overhead crane operator license, Multiple free courses available also for working at height, working in confined spaces and further training & qualifications in the engineering industry once permanent)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role: Our client is looking for Production Operators to join their busy team in Broughton, Flintshire on full time temporary to permanent contracts. As a Production Operator your responsibilities are as follows:
- Operating machines loading / unloading parts and selecting the correct program
- Checking parts have been processed according to customer specification / DSPP
- Ensure machines are set up correctly to specification and tolerance, Record tolerance using almen strips
- Operate overhead cranes
- Mask panels for peening
- Manual shot blast peening operations
- Safety & Housekeeping: checking equipment before use, maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Complete training as required
