Job Title – Counterbalance Forklift Operator – Days
Site location – Trafford Park, Manchester
Responsible to – Shift Manager
Purpose of the role – To support the warehouse with the safe movement, stock rotation, storage and replenishment of customer goods through the effective operation of Counterbalance Forklift Trucks and use of hand scanners.
Client brief – Our client is a world-renowned Warehousing organisation supporting blue chip companies with warehousing and distribution functions.
KEY INFORMATION

Contract – Contract
Hourly Rate – £13.25ph
Shifts – Monday to Friday, 6am-4am OR 8am-6pm (candidates choice)
Overtime – Regular optional overtime available also @ 1.5x basic rate
Holidays – Accrual
Facilities – Long standing operation very well kept offering excellent facilities including free on-site parking, canteen areas (inclusive of all kitchen facilities and vending machines)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role – Our client is looking for a Counterbalance Forklift Operator to support their existing team in their Ambient (room temperature) Warehousing Operation in Trafford Park. As a Counterbalance Forklift Operator, the requirements are varied but not limited to –
Accurately and safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck within site health and safety requirements at all times.
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently using a Counterbalance Forklift.
Moving, storing and collecting products and pallets throughout the warehouse.
Completing stock rotation and replenishment duties to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
Using handheld scanners to accurately record stock movements and locations.
Working within a team to complete daily warehouse targets.
Delivering a high standard of productivity at all times to ensure smooth operation within the warehouse.
Handling stock respectfully, with a high attention to detail.
Carrying out daily forklift checks and reporting any defects or issues promptly.
