Responsible to – Operations Director
Purpose of the role – Our client is looking for a highly motivated professional who can focus on growing the business through maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships and identifying new business leads and opportunities.
Client brief - Our client is a world leading producer of their services with sites all over the world with their flagship UK Operation based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate.
KEY INFORMATION
- Reason for vacancy – Increased demand
- Contract – Permanent
- Salary - £45,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Hours – Monday to Thursday 7am-5.15pm, 39 hours per week – (flexibility to support alternative working hours if/when required)
- Holidays – Accrual, 20 days (based on a 4-day working week) + Bank holidays (holidays also increase with length of service)
- Facilities – Site is a very clean and professional environment, very well kept, canteen and onsite parking

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role - Our client is looking for a permanent Business Development Manager to join and lead their existing Business Development Team at their UK head offices on Wrexham Industrial Estate. The responsibilities of this position are varied but not limited to:
- Research, actively approach new and existing customers, taking on enquiries and providing quotes, working with other operational departments.
- Drive activities to actively support and manage sales process working closely with sales team and other operational departments reviewing costings/pricings, quality of products and scheduling.
- Attend networking opportunities including conferences and industry events and workshops, travelling to Lemgo, Germany.
- Support new product development and launch through robust sales and marketing processes working with supporting departments.
- Prepare and report monthly sales activities to Operations Support, develop and manage sales team encouraging.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous experience in a similar role in the automotive sector
- Strong ability to generate & improve business operations, working with others in maintaining and developing costings/pricings, quality of products
- Excellent management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Enthusiasm and positivity
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Computer literate, presentation skills and SAP knowledge
- Project Management, Marketing and Research knowledge
