Site location – Wrexham Industrial Estate

Responsible to – Production Manager

Purpose of the role - Assisting site in the production of high-quality seating systems for multiple industries around the globe.

Client brief - Our client is a world leading producer of seating equipment with sites all over the world with their flagship UK Operation based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate offering excellent onsite facilities and further training in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

KEY INFORMATION

  • Reason for vacancy – Increased demand
  • Contract – Temporary to Permanent (480 hours agency with guaranteed permanent contract on completion)
  • Hourly Rate - £12.21ph
  • Overtime Rate - 1.5x basic rate
  • Shifts - Mon to Thurs 6am -16:15pm
  • Holidays – Accrual, 21 + Bank holidays when perm
  • Facilities – Site is a very clean and professional environment, very well kept, canteen and onsite parking, also with excellent public transport links to site
  • Benefits - Casual dress OR uniform provided, company pension, employee assistance programmes and overtime/additional hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role - Our client is looking for Assembly Production Operatives to join their existing Assembly Department at their UK head offices on Wrexham Industrial Estate. This position is temporary to permanent, full time. The Assembly Department assists site in the production of high-quality seating systems for multiple industries around the globe. The purpose of this position is to build the seating systems with a multitude of materials and tools, this is a varied position with lots of on-the-job training.

The responsibilities of this position are varied but not limited to:

  • Use of all generalist hand tools
  • Use of all generalist air fed power tools
  • Reading and interpreting drawings to specification
  • Reporting any issues or technical faults
  • Soldering
  • Adhering to company health and safety requirements at all times

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanically minded
  • Capable of using hand & air operated tools
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow section work instructions is very important
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards in your work
  • Good verbal, communication and analytical skills
