Site location – Trafford Park, Manchester

Responsible to – Shift Manager

Purpose of the role – To support the warehouse, Stock Rotation and Replenishment of customer goods with the safe operation of Counterbalance trucks and use of hand scanners.

Client brief – Our client is a world-renowned Warehousing organisation supporting blue chip companies with warehousing and distribution functions.

KEY INFORMATION

  • Hours - (FIXED DAYS) Monday to Friday days only, 8am-5.30pm (half hour deducted for lunch per day), (FIXED NIGHTS) 10pm-8am Monday to Friday
  • Pay - Days = £13.00ph Nights = £13.25ph
  • Overtime – (All overtime is optional) Saturdays 1.5x basic rate, Sundays 2.0x basic rate

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role - Our client is looking for Counterbalance Operators to support their existing team in their Ambient (room temperature) Warehousing Operation in Trafford Park. As a Counterbalance Operator, the requirements are varied but not limited to:

  • Accurately and safely operating a Counterbalance truck within site health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Rotating stock, storing and collecting products from pallets with use of CB Truck & handheld scanners.
  • Working within a team to complete daily warehouse targets.
  • Delivering a high standard of productivity at all times to ensure smooth operation within the warehouse.
  • Handling stock respectfully, with a high attention to detail.
  • All other generalist warehousing duties.

Key Skills Required

  • Previous experience operating Counterbalance Trucks is essential.
  • FLT Counterbalance license holder is essential.
  • Previous experience with handscanners is essential.
  • Must be reliable and committed.
  • Must be able to communicate in English to a high standard (verbal and written).
  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks.
