Responsible to – Senior/Principal Civil Engineer
Purpose of the role – To contribute to a range of civil engineering projects, supporting the design and delivery of schemes across multiple sectors, including residential, commercial, education, industrial, leisure, and earthworks. The role focuses on producing innovative designs from feasibility through to construction while ensuring technical excellence and legal compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role – As a Civil Engineer, you will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions for a wide variety of civil engineering projects. You will support or lead in the design and technical delivery of projects, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to client relationships and internal development. You will play a key role from concept to construction stages, using your technical skills to drive innovation and ensure quality.
Key Skills Required –
- Experience in Highways Design (both private and adoptable)
- Experience in Drainage Design (both private and adoptable)
- Familiarity with Sectional Agreements (S278, S38, S104, S106)
- Strong understanding of External Levels Design (Part M Building Regs experience is a bonus)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Vehicle Tracking
- Working knowledge of UK legal processes, technical standards, and design codes
- Experience with 3D design software such as Site3D, PDS, or Civils 3D is a bonus
- Flood Risk Assessment and Hydrology experience is also a plus
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within teams and with external consultants
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Willingness to support junior team members and contribute to their professional development
- Positive, pragmatic, and quality-focused mindset
