Purpose of the role - The responsibilities of this position are to ensure inspection disciplines adherence to the Quality Management system (QMS) and are effective for the business.

- Overtime - Regular overtime available, paid at 1.33x basic rate
- Shifts – 7am-4.30pm, Monday-Thursday Only

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role Our client is looking for Quality Inspectors to join their existing team on permanent contract at their HQ site in Chester. The responsibilities of this position are to ensure inspection disciplines adherence to the Quality Management system (QMS) and are effective for the business.
Generalist tasks are as follows:
- Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team
- Carry out 1st off/ Last off inspections as deemed necessary
- Monitor/ Patrol (Physical/First hand) in process inspections
- Stop production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes
- Support completion of all documentation for First Article Inspection Reports. Ensuring all documentation is up to date and accurate
- Conduct product and process audits
- Ensuring that all quality and in process checks are conducted as planned
- Ensuring control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained
- Conduct Faro Arm / CMM measurements
- Perform regular quality checks of components using manual, electronic measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, verniers, etc.)
- Liaise and effectively communicate with internal and external colleagues to resolve quality issues

- NPL Level 1/geometric tolerance (preferable)
Experience
- Experience of successfully working within an engineering focused environment which incorporated elements of - Operating CMM /FARO machines to measure cast components
- Inspection equipment and in-process inspection of machined parts
- Production of Inspection Reports
