Overview: We're recruiting a Quality Assurance Operative to join a busy manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining product standards and ensuring all quality, hygiene, and safety procedures are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular production line quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Record and report inspection results accurately, addressing non-conformances in line with company procedure.
- Monitor hygiene, packaging, and labeling standards during production runs.
- Support continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve quality performance.
- Ensure all work complies with site policies, food safety legislation, and BRC requirements.
- Liaise with production supervisors and line leaders to maintain consistent communication around quality issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a QA, QC, or similar role within manufacturing or FMCG (preferably food or paper products).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations quickly.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of HACCP or GMP principles is advantageous.
