Responsible to β Shift Manager
Purpose of the role β To support the warehouse with Order Picking, Stock Rotation and Replenishment of customer goods with the safe operation of PPT trucks and use of hand scanners.
Client brief β Our client is a world-renowned Warehousing organisation supporting blue chip companies with warehousing and distribution functions.

- Shifts β 6am-3.30pm Monday to Friday
- Overtime β 1.5x basic rate Monday to Saturday and 2x basic rate on Sundays
- Holidays β Accrual whilst agency and 21 days + Bank Holidays when permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role - Our client is looking for temporary to permanent PPT Operators to support their existing team in their flagship Ambient (room temperature) Warehousing Operation in Appleton Thorn, Warrington. As a PPT Operator, the requirements are varied but not limited to:
- Accurately and safely operating a PPT (powered pallet truck) within site health and safety requirements at all times.
- Order picking and rotating stock using handheld scanners.
- Working within a team to complete daily warehouse targets.
- Delivering a high standard of productivity at all times to ensure smooth operation within the warehouse.
- Handling stock respectfully, with a high attention to detail.
- All other generalist warehousing duties.
- Opportunities to upskill to counterbalance licenses available also.
Key Skills Required:
- Previous experience operating PPT (powered pallet trucks) is essential.
- PPT license holder is essential or evidence of in house training.
- Previous order picking experience with handscanners is essential.
- Must be reliable and committed.
- Must be able to communicate in English to a high standard (verbal and written).
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks.
