Responsible to - Production Manager

Purpose of the role - As a Packer you will be working on a busy packing line packing produced products whilst quality checking the product and packaging; promoting a safe working environment in line with the Company’s SHEQ procedures.

KEY INFORMATION

  • Reason for vacancy - Continued growth
  • Contract - Temp to Perm
  • Basic pay - £10.50ph basic rate + £30 per shift for nights (1 week of days, 1 week of nights ROTATION)
  • Overtime - 1.33x basic rate – Monday to Friday, 1.5x basic rate – Saturdays, 2.0x basic rate – Sundays
  • Shifts - Week 1 – 7am-7pm, 4 out of 5 shifts per week Monday to Friday ONLY; Week 2 – 7pm-7am 4 out of 5 shifts per week Monday to Friday ONLY
  • Holidays - Accrual whilst agency and 28 days inc Bank Holidays when permanent
  • Facilities - Staff parking, canteen, very clean and professional environment
  • Additional Benefits - Overtime rates Monday to Friday inclusive 1.33%, Saturday 1.5% & Sunday 2.00%; Night shift payment - on completion of your shift; Weekly Pay; Enrolment onto the Company’s Pension Scheme (after an initial 12 weeks); 28 days holiday per annum (pro-rata) including Bank Holidays; Training and development opportunities; Friendly working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role - Our client is looking for Packers to join their existing team on temp to perm contracts at their HQ site in Mold. No shift cancellations at all with this employer. The responsibilities of this position are varied but not limited to:

  • Continually monitoring product quality on the production lines, reporting any defects in materials or products.
  • Packing products ready for dispatch in accordance with specification sheets ensuring all product quality meets the Company standards.
  • Operate and monitor packing machinery and report any defects.
  • Ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures and SHEQ Procedures are adhered to.

Key Skills Required

  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Fast paced Packing/Production line experience is desirable.
  • Reliable with a positive and hardworking attitude.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • This role will involve standing for long periods of time and lifting.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Available for an immediate start.
