Client brief - Our client is a long-standing family run business specialising in the manufacture and distribution of perfumes and shampoos across the globe. Well renowned business offering long term work to all.
KEY INFORMATION
- Reason for vacancy - Site expansion
- Basic pay - £33,000 - £35,000 Depending on experience
- Shifts - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm OR 10am-6pm depending on candidate requirements and site needs
- Breaks - 20-minute early break and 20-minute late break per day
- Overtime - Regular overtime is available and is paid at 1.5x basic hourly rate
- Holidays - 21 days + Bank holidays
- Facilities - Excellent canteen areas with all general appliances. Very clean and well-maintained facility
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role - Our client is looking to recruit a Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their existing team on permanent contract due to continued expansion across our client’s business. The responsibilities of this position are varied but limited to:
- Providing both reactive & PPM on all production equipment (mainly low automated lines).
- Working within a team of Maintenance Engineers to complete all day-to-day maintenance tasks.
- Fault Finding and mechanical modifications.
- Working from engineers’ drawings, diagrams and manuals.
- Attending and advising on weekly production meetings.
- Complete and control all necessary documentation around engineering activities.
- Achieve all activities in line with company regulations and health & safety guidelines.
- Assist with driving continuous improvement and lean activities.
Essential Skills / Qualifications
- Experience of performing Maintenance Engineering within an Industrial Manufacturing Environment.
- Proven record of fault-finding and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic maintenance experience.
- Engineering Qualifications - HNC/NVQ.
- Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings & manuals.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
