Responsible to - Branch Manager
Purpose of the role - To correspond with landlords, tenants, viewers and applicants whilst providing exceptional customer service regarding rental properties including negotiating lets, property viewings, dealing with queries and pushing business generation as well as assisting with property management where required such as maintenance issues, property inspections and dealing with contractors.
Client brief - Our client is a long-standing lettings agency in the Chester City Centre. Our client is looking to add to the existing lettings team due to continued growth which offers the ability to progress in the industry by working with experienced lettings professionals to provide fantastic service and knowledge to all applicants, tenants and landlords.
KEY INFORMATION
- Reason for vacancy - Continued growth
- Contract - Permanent
- Basic pay - Up to £24,000 Dependent on experience + On Target Earnings
- Shifts - Monday to Thursday 9.30am - 5.30pm and finish at 5pm on a Friday! Saturdays only worked on booked appointments but can be 1 hour per month!
- Holidays - 20 days + bank holidays off - Also including having your birthday off!
- Facilities - Parking available, on site amenities including kitchen, microwave and kettle.
- Additional Benefits - Offer to help gain ARLA qualifications including payment of first exams, Pension Scheme and employment support for wellbeing (access to counselling etc)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role - As a Lettings Negotiator your responsibilities will include:
- Advertise all properties, ensuring they are promoted correctly to achieve maximum exposure.
- Respond to leads swiftly and arrange viewings.
- Carry out viewings.
- Deal with any negotiations.
- Update landlords on feedback.
- Complete reference checks and all associated legal paperwork.
- Create tenancy agreements and relevant legal documents.
- Liaise with property manager regarding the move in date.
- Assist property manager with duties.
Key Skills Required - The ideal candidate must have the following attributes:
- Previous experience in the lettings industry
- Be driven, focused and have a wanting to succeed
- Be a Friendly, Persuasive and positive negotiator
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Have good level of negotiation skills
- Knowledge and interest in the property market
- Full UK Driving License
