Responsible to: Senior Management / Pre-Construction Director

Purpose of the role: To lead and manage the work acquisition process, including PQQ submissions, tender responses, and framework management, ensuring high-quality, competitive bids that align with client requirements.

Client brief: Our client is a well-established main contractor with over 30 years of experience delivering design, construction, and engineering solutions across defence and commercial sectors. They are known for long-term client partnerships and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Shifts: Monday - Friday, general office hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and administer tender portals
  • Manage and write responses for PQQs and tender submissions
  • Produce high-quality technical responses addressing client requirements
  • Receive, record, and store tender documentation on internal systems
  • Attend client meetings, briefings, and industry events
  • Identify new business opportunities and support Sales & Marketing functions
  • Support framework submissions and cost planning activities
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD)

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in bid management and bid writing within construction
  • Strong experience developing and managing contractor submission documents
  • Ability to write clear, technical, and compelling tender responses
  • Basic understanding of project management control systems
  • Strong organisational and document management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach
  • Qualifications: Construction-related qualification preferred
