Site location – South London
Responsible to – Regional Director and/or Senior Associate
Purpose of the role – As an Associate, you will be involved in multiple projects with a varied workload and the autonomy to work individually, but will also assist in planning and managing an appropriate resource to deliver projects.
Client brief – Our client is a well-established leading engineering and environmental consultancy in Building Services with offices throughout the UK and around the globe. From sustainability-focused offices and commercial premises to cutting-edge healthcare facilities and from award-winning retail developments to major new residential communities, you'll have the opportunity to play a major role in delivering schemes across a huge range of sectors.

- Salary – GBP65,000 – GBP85,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Holidays – 26 days + Bank Holidays, rising to 31 days with loyalty days + BH

Although we’re happy to consider applicants with more or less experience, you’ll ideally have qualifications, experience, or skills in the following areas:
- To assist and deputise, when required, for the Regional Director in leading, managing, and taking responsibility for the technical and commercial performance of your designated projects in Building Services.
- To keep abreast of Building Services industry best practice and new developments in your own area of technical expertise.
- To develop and maintain an effective network of contacts and participate in industry events (seminars, conferences, etc).
- To contribute to management of all technical and commercial aspects of commissions.
- To set and maintain technical standards.
- To review and approve work prepared by others.
- To comply with all safety and IMS procedures and ensure that staff do likewise.
- Degree qualified Chartered Engineer in a relevant discipline, or an Engineer with lower qualifications but a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Shall have good commercial awareness and judgement.
- Have the drive and self-motivation to continuously develop your skills.
- Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and to be able to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to apply technical Building Services knowledge in analysing problems and creating solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff by example.
- Be reliable and have a responsible attitude to work.
