Responsible for: Ensuring the products being released from the machine shop are meeting H&S and client standards at all times
Client brief: Our client is a global supplier of complex machined investment castings, in aluminium, steel, and vacuum melted super alloys supporting a multitude of industries with a large variety of client specific machined products.
KEY INFORMATION
- Reason for vacancy: Increased demand
- Contract: Ongoing with options for permanent also
- Basic pay: £18.73ph (inc shift allowance paid for all hours worked)
- Shifts: Week 1 = Mon -Fri (6:00am to 13:30pm), Week 2 = Mon-Thurs (13:15pm to 21:00pm) Fri (13:15pm -19:45pm)
- Breaks: 30 min lunch, early and late 10-minute break
- Overtime: Regular overtime available paid @ 1.5x basic rate
- Holidays: Accrual (25 days + Bank Holidays once permanent)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role: Our client is looking for CNC Milling & Lathe Machine Operators to join their busy team in Wrexham Industrial Estate on permanent contract. As a CNC Milling & Lathe Machine Operator your responsibilities are as follows:
- To set up machines with maximum efficiency.
- Responsible for efficient cell production, to include the multi-manning of machines.
- Maintain all production paperwork to include MIPC Sheets / Synchro Sheets.
- Maintain gauging and measuring equipment currently held on the cell.
- To liaise with Inspection Department to ensure timely first off.
- Maintain the Lean Manufacturing environment operating on the cell.
- Maintain all Health and Safety requirements.
- Liaise and attend meetings as required.
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Responsible for individual job improvement.
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance procedures are maintained in conjunction with the Cell Team Leader.
Key skills required:
- Must be a time served CNC Operator.
- Multi skilled machinist.
- Ideally have experience in 3, 4 & 5 axis machining.
- Familiarity with both ISO & Mazatrol control systems preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
