About the Role
The Member Acquisition team at Sermo is looking for a highly analytical Performance Marketing Strategist who combines deep paid media expertise with strong data analysis and strategic decision making. You’ll play a critical role in improving ROAS and guiding smarter acquisition and retention investments, raising the ceiling on our ad programs.
You’re hands-on enough to understand the specifics of digital campaigns, but your real strength is using data to answer business questions. You can dig into seasonality, demand cycles, pacing models, and performance trends — and translate them into clear recommendations.
You’re comfortable working closely with engineering, sales, and agency teams, and you know how to connect marketing performance to revenue and member value. This is a strategic role for someone who enjoys owning analysis, shaping decisions, and driving measurable business impact. You should be able to operate independently without relying heavily on senior analysts interpreting numbers for you.
Responsibilities
- Drive planning and performance efforts across paid search, paid social, display, and other paid channels to maximize ROAS and member value.
- Analyze seasonality, demand cycles, quarterly shifts, and pacing patterns to inform smarter budget distribution and long-term planning.
- Partner with data analysts and commercial stakeholders to forecast the value of new members and model the revenue impact of marketing investments.
- Help shape forecasting models that predict conversion quality and long-term value contributing to data informed planning.
- Use data and performance insights to answer core business questions and support high value decisions.
- Work alongside the analytics team to develop clear dashboards, reporting, and insights that highlight opportunities, risks, and next steps for budget and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with dev/engineering teams to ensure accurate tracking including GTM setup, event configuration, and performance tag management.
- Collaborate with external agencies ensuring strategic alignment, accuracy in reporting, and strong performance delivery.
- Identify opportunities to test new channels, audience strategies, bidding approaches, and technologies to improve acquisition and retention.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in performance or growth marketing with proven experience in using data to guide investment decisions, manage budgets, and accelerate user acquisition and retention.
- Hands-on experience with major advertising platforms including Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn, and programmatic DSPs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently generate insights and make clear recommendations.
- Strong understanding of attribution models and conversion signal performance, including Google Tag Manager, event configuration, and platform APIs.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, and forecasting tools to drive revenue facing decisions.
- Experienced in managing workflows and communication across teams and third-party partners, setting expectations and driving aligned execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast growth environment with ownership, initiative, and a focus on measurable results.
- Healthcare experience or familiarity with marketing to doctors is preferred.
What you’ll receive in return…
- Competitive salary
- Hybrid working
- Dynamic, high growth and challenging international environment
- Life assurance and income protection
- Private health insurance
- 25 days holiday plus
