Serious Sport was established in 2005, as a specialist sports clothing and teamwear company. In 2025, Serious Sport now manufactures and supplies personalised teamwear to over 2,000 sports clubs and organisations. As part of the Sales and Marketing team you will support the growth to become the UK’s leading provider of bespoke match kit and teamwear.

An opportunity has arisen for a full‑time, junior level Production Assistant to join our creative production team based in Basingstoke. We are a small but fast‑growing team, designing and delivering personalised sportswear from concept to creation all under one roof and need someone to help deliver this.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Load designs onto fabric using our rotary heat press.
  • Organise and pack designs per individual order quantities.
  • QC garments as you pack making notes of any defects that might need replacing.
  • Liaise with the artwork team to establish the most urgent orders and a priority order of work.
  • Pre‑emptive weekly cleaning routines of all heat press area (training provided).
  • Assist in other areas of the Serious Sport company, including dispatching orders, packing orders or labelling orders.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience or interest in product design (sportswear and textiles clothing).
  • Focus on getting things done.
  • Organised and systematic.
  • Knowledge of sublimation printers or heat presses is an advantage – full training will be given.
  • Adaptability to a time‑sensitive environment.
  • A team player who likes to make a difference.
  • Personal qualities: reliable, flexible, approachable, friendly, trustworthy and enthusiastic.

Nature and Scope of Job:

The role will be a part‑time position subject to a successful 3‑month probationary period, comprising 20 hours per week based at Serious Sport at The Dummer Cricket Centre, Basingstoke, RG25 2AR. This is based around Monday to Friday with hours to suit between 9 am and 5 pm, but other hours can also be arranged once fully trained. Any bank holidays that are worked will be added back as annual leave. In the event of absence due to ill health, you will be entitled to statutory sick pay (not paid in the first three days of any period of sickness).
