As an Embroiderer your role will be to co-ordinate and deliver the embroidery requirements for the clothing operations of Serious Sport Group Ltd. Your direct responsibilities will be to lead the smooth and efficient running of the company’s embroidery requirements. This will consist of organising and delivering orders on time, maintenance of the embroidery machines, sampling of new client logos, ordering and stock control of embroidery supplies and assisting the production manager to ensure the delivery of all clothing orders on time. It is a challenging and enjoyable role and mentoring and advice will be available.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure all orders are delivered on time and KPIs are met
  • Digitising and sampling of new client logos
  • To carry out maintenance and servicing of the embroidery machines
  • Ordering and stock control of embroidery supplies
  • To operate the embroidery machines to deliver finished clothing orders on time and of the highest possible quality.
  • Training of any new staff and upskilling any current staff
  • Ensuring quality control of garments is carried out to make sure our embroidery looks as good as possible.
  • To assist in developing smooth systems for all clothing orders from first point of interest to delivery of orders
  • To assist in other areas of the Serious Sport company as appropriate, and designated by your line manager

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB

The role will be a full time position subject to a successful 6 month probationary period, comprising of 37.5 hours per week based at Serious Sport at The Dummer Cricket Centre, Basingstoke, RG25 2AR. This is based around Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm but flexible hours are available and a rota system may be incorporated in busy seasons. You will be entitled to 20 days holiday per year plus any bank holidays worked will be accrued annual leave. Any bank holidays that are worked will be added back as annual leave.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Primary Working Relationships: Serious Sport embroidery, printing and logistics team, Embroidery Suppliers and maintenance engineers, Reporting directly to the Production Manager
  • Secondary Working Relationships: Serious Cricket / Sport suppliers

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The position requires:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience within an embroidery team
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • A candidate with effective communication and customer service skills
  • Someone who is prepared to work hard and enjoys a challenge
  • Someone who likes to make a difference and can be a team player
  • Personal qualities which are vital – reliable, flexible, approachable, friendly, trustworthy and enthusiastic.

RENUNERATION

There is a full-time salary which will range from £25,000 - £26,000 per annum depending on age and experience. Optional overtime will also be available at certain times of the year, where an hourly fee of £15 per hour will be paid. Includes Company Bonus Scheme and Pension.
