We are seeking a commercially-minded and people-focused People Partner to join our growing People team at Seriös Group. Reporting directly to the Head of People, this is a true partnering role at the heart of our ambition to build a progressive, strategically-oriented people function, and is ideal for someone currently working as a HR/People Advisor or an experienced HR/People Coordinator, looking to take the next step in their career. You will own a portfolio of business areas, building trusted relationships with managers and employees alike. Bringing insight, challenge, and support in equal measure, you will help the business make better decisions about its people, and help its people thrive. Our systems (HiBob, Team Tailor and others) are handling the majority of the manual processes, freeing you up to focus on work that provides a better colleague experience overall. This is a genuinely exciting time to join: you will have a clear area to partner with, autonomy, trust, and the active support of a Head of People who is invested in your development.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with the Business: Be the dedicated Partner to your business areas, building trusted relationships with leaders and becoming their go-to thought partner on people matters. Run regular 1-2-1s with your stakeholders, using data and insight to shape conversations and support evidence-based decisions. Challenge and coach leaders on how they manage, develop, and engage their teams, going beyond the transactional.
- People & Performance: Support managers to navigate people matters with confidence – from early performance conversations through to formal processes. Handle employee relations cases with sound judgement, balancing commercial awareness with genuine care for the individual. Contribute to a consistent, fair approach to performance and reward across your business areas. Support the annual compensation and appraisal cycle, contributing to calibration and benchmarking with a commercial lens.
- Engagement, Culture & Development: Work with the Head of People to bring the engagement and wellbeing strategy to life in your areas – not just run activities, but understand what’s actually driving sentiment. Design and deliver training initiatives that build capability across both skills and technical knowledge. Coordinate surveys and exit interviews, taking actions based on the data – analyse trends, surface themes, and feed recommendations back to leadership.
- Employee Lifecycle & Operations: Own the onboarding experience for your areas, making sure new starters land well, feel connected, and hit the ground running. Manage offboarding thoughtfully, treating leavers as future advocates and capturing insight that helps us improve. Use HiBob and our people data to spot trends, understand what’s happening in your business areas, and bring insight to the conversations that matter.
- Project Management: Take ownership of people initiatives from scoping through to delivery, keeping things moving, managing stakeholders, and delivering on time. Ensure the initiatives you deliver are grounded in what the business actually needs today, whilst contributing to the longer-term people strategy. Bring structure and pace to your work without losing sight of the people impact, balancing delivery with doing it well.
- Champion Inclusion & Belonging: Champion inclusion and belonging in everything you do, helping to embed a culture where everyone can do their best work.
Desirable Skills And Experience
- Working towards or holding CIPD Level 5, with experience in a people role including a track record of coaching managers, supporting employee relations and supporting with project delivery.
- Sound understanding of employment law and how to apply it pragmatically in a commercial context.
- Pragmatic and solutions-focused.
- Organised and self-directed, with the maturity to manage your own areas and act autonomously without constant oversight.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model with regular on-site presence (usually 2 to 3 days per week), and confident working with data and people metrics to inform decisions.
