The purpose of this position is to ensure products are produced according to quality and hygiene standards, and to guarantee efficient material flow from/to the production floor, in accordance with company standards and procedures.
The role of Packing Operator is based on the following activities:
- HSE STANDARDS: Follows safety rules according to company policies and regulations. Maintains order, organisation, and cleanliness in all assigned areas, working in line with correct workplace hygiene practices, with the aim to be an example to others.
- PRODUCTION MATERIALS HANDLING: Ensures proper handling of raw material, feeding hoppers and loaders with raw materials or bottles headed for labeling machine lines and post-production materials.
- FINISHED GOODS HANDLING: Ensures proper handling of finished goods, making sure products are packed properly, according to clients’ requests. Uses appropriate materials (e.g.: boxes, trays, bags etc.), stacks, loads, labels pallets and hands them over to the warehouse operator once in the warehouse or in the exchange area between production and warehouse.
- CLEANING OPERATIONS: Cleans the machine and washes bulks following company standards, coordinating with the machine operator and overseen by the shift supervisor.
- COMMUNICATION and COOPERATION: Reports and records all machine stoppages in real time and informs the machine operator/shift supervisor in case of any irregularity. Promotes effective communication between team and Manager. Interacts with different business functions to drive high performance culture.
