Series Eight is searching for a Brand and Digital Designer to join our remote team on a full-time basis. We’re an award-winning, independent digital agency, founded in 2015. We work across brand identity, design and development for established businesses, luxury brands and ambitious B2B clients around the world.
We’re after someone curious - who challenges things for the sake of better work, takes ownership, and can run with things solo as easily as in a team. Someone with a real eye for detail and pride in the craft, who wants to help shape what Series Eight becomes. You'll have room to be fully yourself here, personality and spirit included.
The role involves working both sides of the line - brand and UI. You will create an identity, then design the interface that carries it. You'll work on 4-6 month projects from discovery through to final UI, alongside a senior team.
What you'll do:
- Build brand identities; typography, colour, logo systems and the guidelines that hold them together.
- Design the work that brings those brands to life: marketing sites, e-commerce stores and the design systems behind them.
- Sweat the details, and help raise the standard of everything that leaves the agency - your own work and everyone else's.
- Take work from first concept to developer-ready handover, and see it through.
- Push the thinking, not just the execution - challenge a vague brief rather than quietly absorb it.
- Use AI curiously - to explore faster, prototype quickly and clear the grunt work - without handing over the thinking or the craft.
- Bring solutions, not just problems. Treat mistakes as opportunities not failures.
- Present your work to clients and walk them through the thinking.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with developers, copywriters and PMs; same brief, same team.
- Give and take feedback that's direct and kind.
What we’re looking for:
- A portfolio with real range across brand and UI.
- A sharp eye for typography, layout and the details most people won’t notice.
- Fluency in Figma.
- The ability to explain the why behind a decision, not just show the what.
- 4+ years designing, ideally some of it agency-side.
- Comfortable presenting to clients and taking feedback without getting precious about it.
- Fluency in AI - where it helps and where it doesn’t.
- Bonus points for motion or basic animation.
- A feel for what’s buildable - you don’t need to code, but knowing the front-end helps.
Why join us:
- Fully remote.
- Genuinely interesting work - fintech, healthtech, SaaS, luxury and e-commerce.
- 12 fully paid days a year for self-directed learning.
- 32 days’ annual leave including bank holidays.
- Two weeks paid holiday at the end of the year to rest.
- Enhanced parental and sick leave.
- Company hardware.
- An annual team trip.
- Competitive salary.
