We employ around 220 people, most of them working out in the community. We are growing, and we are looking for someone who will look after our staff as well as we look after the people we support.
The Role:
This is a standalone HR role covering the whole organisation.
You will work closely with our Senior Management Team and Directors, and you will be the person our managers come to for support and advice.
Day to day you will: Manage employee relations casework end to end, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance Coach and support managers so they handle people issues well and early Own the employee lifecycle from offer through onboarding, contracts and changes to exit Keep our HR records, policies and compliance in good order, including right to work and sponsorship documentation Work with our recognised trade union on consultation and collective matters Help shape how we retain people, not just how we recruit them
What We Are Looking For:
Essential
CIPD Level 3 as a minimum, or equivalent experience Solid grounding in UK employment law and confidence handling casework independently Someone managers trust and come to early rather than when things have already gone wrong Clear, straightforward communicator, comfortable with everyone from carers to directors Well organised, with the judgement to know what needs attention now and what can wait Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. You will need to travel regularly to our sites in Port Talbot (head office), Cardiff and Caerphilly
Desirable
