The Piano Tutor will provide high-quality, student-centered piano instruction to children, young people, and adults at varying levels, from beginners to advanced learners. This role is based in Aberystwyth, with a combination of in-person lessons at the institute (and potentially partner locations) and some preparation, administration, and online teaching from home.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Setting clear learning goals
- Selecting appropriate repertoire
- Adapting teaching approaches to different learning styles and abilities
- Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback
- Preparing students for performances and examinations (where appropriate)
- Maintaining clear lesson records
