SERE Group is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Company Accountant to join their dynamic Belfast Head Office finance team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of this multifaceted organisation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation and production of accurate and timely management and financial accounts including Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Cash Flow Management: Overseeing cash flow and working capital to ensure optimal financial health.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Contributing to the development and preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Accounting Administration: Effectively managing the accounting and administration function within the Head Office, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
- Profit & Loss trend analysis: Identify opportunities for growth within the group and support ongoing profitability of each company.
- Year end Audit: Take charge for the group to ensure a smooth process.
Essential Criteria:
- Professional Qualification: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Industry Experience: A minimum of three years of industry experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Industry Advantage: Experience within the motor or aviation industry is highly desirable.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrable experience of performing analysis of actuals against forecast.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and to perform negotiations.
