Maintenance Operative β AASC β Preston & Fylde
Full-time β 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: Β£27,500 β Β£33,500 depending on experience & skills, plus Serco benefits.
Full UK driving licence required. Vehicle and tools provided.
This role is key to ensuring all requested repairs β reactive or proactive β are carried out to required standard and within SLA deadlines, supporting the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services team to provide temporary accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and carry out reactive and proactive maintenance tasks across the Wigan area.
- Ensure work is completed to required standards and within service level agreement deadlines.
- Maintain health & safety of yourself and all property users during and after works.
- Purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers.
- Inspect provided vehicles regularly and keep them in professional, clean condition.
Working Pattern
- Mon β Fri 7.5 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00.
- Onβcall duties on a rota basis for 24/7 emergency cover, typically once every 8β10 weeks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous maintenance experience in joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting or decorating.
- Highly motivated with ability to manage own workflow and work within a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK.
- Valid UK driving licence and required security clearance approval by the Home Office.
