Fleet Compliance and Training Manager RAF Brize Norton – OX18 3LX Full Time, 37 hours per week, Mon‑Fri
Role Summary
The key purpose of this role is to ensure all obligations under the Serco Ltd Operators Licence and MoD Transport Regulations are checked and complied with and all documentation is correctly held for audit. Additionally, the role requires delivery of driver’s CPC training.
Main Accountabilities
- Monitoring compliance and legal requirements in the day‑to‑day delivery of the Transport Fleet.
- Managing Digital Tachograph compliance for drivers and vehicles.
- Ensuring drivers comply with the Road Transport Working Time Directive.
- Ensuring a Driver CPC Plan is in place and managed by the Fleet Services Manager.
- Undertaking Driver CPC training as part of the Serco Group’s accredited training consortium.
- Maintaining vehicle fleet in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and the Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness for vehicles under the Serco Ltd Operators Licences.
- Line managing the Transport Administrators.
Required Competencies and Qualifications
- Full Category B Driving Licence (desirable).
- Level 3 Education & Training Certificate (desirable, training can be provided).
- Understanding of transport operations including tachographs.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Line management experience.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and high standard oral communication skills.
Additional Information
This role requires undertaking the O Licence, Management CPC for Road Haulage apprenticeship and, once completed, to offer resilience in the absence of O Licence holders if needed.
