Transition Analyst

We're looking for a Transition Analyst to join our Transition Management team, supporting the successful mobilisation, transition, transformation and exit of major contracts across Serco's UK & Europe business.

Working alongside experienced Transition Directors and Principal Transition Leads, you'll play a key role throughout both the sales and delivery lifecycle.

You'll help develop transition plans, manage programme controls, track risks and dependencies, support governance activities and provide valuable insight that enables confident decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with programme, PMO or transition experience who wants to develop their career within a high-performing team delivering complex, business-critical programmes.

What you'll be doing

You'll support the planning, governance and assurance of mobilisation, transition and transformation programmes, ensuring robust controls are in place and key milestones are delivered successfully.

Key responsibilities include

• Supporting the development of transition plans, programme schedules and mobilisation artefacts during the bid and sales lifecycle.
• Maintaining programme controls including risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID).
• Monitoring programme performance and providing accurate reporting and management information for governance forums.
• Working closely with Transition Leads, project teams, suppliers and partners to ensure delivery remains on track.
• Supporting programme assurance reviews and helping implement recommendations that improve delivery confidence.
• Contributing to cutover planning and operational readiness activities.
• Producing high-quality reports, presentations and programme documentation.
• Driving continuous improvement of transition methodologies, standards, tools and knowledge assets.
• Supporting quality assurance processes to ensure programme deliverables meet required standards.
• What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong programme coordination skills with excellent stakeholder management and a proactive approach to problem solving.

You'll ideally have

• Experience working within a programme, transition, mobilisation or PMO environment.
• Experience supporting projects or workstreams as part of a larger programme.
• Knowledge of programme governance, assurance and control processes.
• Experience managing RAID logs and programme reporting.
• Strong planning and scheduling experience using tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Power Point, Word and Project.
• Experience engaging and influencing a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex information into clear insights.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and changing requirements.
• The ability to bring structure, clarity and control to complex programmes.

Desirable experience includes

• Mobilisation, transition, transformation or outsourcing environments.
• Programme assurance, quality management or continuous improvement activities.
• Knowledge management and process improvement experience.
• Experience using Power BI, Share Point and Smartsheet.
• What you'll need
• Foundation-level qualification in APMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent programme/project management methodology.
• A willingness to travel as required to support programme delivery activities.
