Serco: Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, SL7 1RR Permanent, Full Time (40 hrs p/w: Mon – Fri, flexible timings between 9 and 8pm. Weekend availability when needed. Up to £48,000 per annum + excellent benefits.

As a Technical and Energy Manager in our Leisure team, you’ll lead the safe and efficient operation of vital building systems, helping create environments where communities can thrive. Your work will ensure facilities run smoothly, sustainably, and with the highest standards of care. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering positive impact through reliable, energy-efficient operations. From improving sustainability to supporting an exceptional customer experience, your expertise will help shape facilities that support healthier communities and a better future for everyone.
What you’ll do as a Technical and Energy Manager
- Manage and maintain all plant and technical systems, including HVAC, water treatment, and mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and industry standards.
- Lead planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and statutory inspections.
- Monitor records, logs, and documentation for all maintenance activities.
- Identify faults, resolve issues efficiently, and escalate where needed.
- Drive energy efficiency initiatives and support sustainability improvements.

- Experience in a technical, maintenance, or facilities management role.
- Strong knowledge of plant systems, including mechanical and electrical services.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- A recognised building services trade qualification (e.g. electrical or plumbing) – mandatory.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with strong organisational skills.
