Are you a skilled painter who takes pride in delivering exceptional finishes while working efficiently to meet deadlines? If you're looking for a rewarding role where your work has a visible impact every day, VIVO has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team supporting military accommodation across RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell.
About the Role As a Painter, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving military accommodation, including both Single Living Accommodation (SLA) dormitories and Military Family Housing (MFH). While your primary focus may be on family housing, there may also be opportunities to work on dormitory accommodation as operational requirements dictate. Working across a portfolio of empty properties where occupants have already moved out, you'll be responsible for transforming homes and accommodation to a high standard, ensuring they are ready for their next residents.
To help you plan and manage your workload effectively, you'll be allocated several weeks' worth of properties at a time, allowing you to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality. This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll carry out internal and external painting and decorating works, prepare surfaces, repair minor defects, remove old paint where required, and apply high-quality finishes that meet both client and company standards. You'll be expected to work efficiently to achieve demanding turnaround times while never compromising on the quality of your workmanship. You'll also attend inspections, complete snagging works where required, and ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and ready for occupation. Occasionally, you'll work from access equipment and will be expected to follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
As a client-facing member of the team, you'll demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
What you’ll need We're looking for someone with painting and decorating experience and a genuine passion for producing high-quality results. You'll have a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage your workload effectively, and the motivation to work to both high standards and tight timescales. Strong communication skills are essential. A full UK drivers license and the ability to pass SC Clearance is required for this role.
In return, VIVO offers a permanent role within a growing and ambitious organisation, along with a company work van and fuel card to support your day-to-day duties. You'll be joining a supportive team environment with opportunities for training, development, and career progression as the business continues to grow.
If you're looking for a stable, long-term opportunity where you can take ownership of your work, enjoy the flexibility of managing allocated properties, and play a vital role in preparing homes and accommodation for military personnel and their families, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality accommodation across RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell.
