Schedule: Perm/PT/31 Hours – shift patterns to support service delivery, including evenings and weekends

As a Health and Fitness Coach in our Leisure team, you’ll support members to achieve their personal health and fitness goals through expert coaching, engaging programmes, and a welcoming environment. Your work will create meaningful, positive impact by helping individuals build healthier lifestyles. This is a role where your passion meets purpose. You’ll play a key part in creating a community‑focused space where people feel supported, motivated, and inspired to grow. From first‑time gym users to experienced members, your guidance will shape journeys, build confidence, and contribute to healthier communities.

What you’ll do as a Health and Fitness Coach

  • Deliver engaging fitness programmes, including group training and small group sessions
  • Coach members on personalised fitness plans aligned to their goals
  • Track member progress, offering motivation and adapting programmes for continued success
  • Carry out health and fitness assessments, including body composition and cardiovascular testing
  • Support onboarding of new members, helping them start their journey with confidence
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming gym environment while supporting members on the gym floor

Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • A Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, with Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification or working towards it within 12 months.
  • A solid understanding of health and fitness principles and programme delivery
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for supporting and motivating others
  • The ability to build trust and create positive relationships with a diverse range of members
  • A proactive approach to learning, development, and continuous improvement
