Role Overview
Permanent, Full time, 43 hours per week (Shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off). Location: Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 9NP.
Salary: £28,061 per annum plus 12% flexibility allowance (total £31,428). Additional benefits detailed below.
Serco has an exciting opportunity for a Security Guard to join their Skynet contract, which provides secure satellite communication services to the UK Government and Armed Forces.
Seniority Level: Entry level. Employment Type: Full-time. Job Function: Other, Information Technology, and Management. Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting.
Responsibilities
- First line of defence in support of the site mission
- Patrols and escort duties
- Vehicle and baggage searches
- Issue and receipt of keys
- Control of CCTV, IDS & Entry Control systems
- Processing visitors
- Report writing
- Liaise with other security personnel and outside agencies
- Ongoing training and development
- A degree of flexibility and other duties within scope as required by the Security Manager
SIA Licence Requirements
- SIA Licence holders preferable; able to carry out physical guarding duties
- SIA training & licence costs may be provided for the right candidate; full uniform and PPE will also be provided.
What You’ll Need To Do The Role
- Valid full car driving licence (manual)
- Able to achieve National Security Vetting (SC)
- Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite
