Salary: £37,665.88
Hours: 37 hours per week. Emergency weekend call-out on shift basis.
Ready to make an impact? As a Refuse and Recycling Supervisor in our Environmental Services team, you’ll ensure the safe, professional, and efficient delivery of operational services, including frontline supervision and leadership of contract staff throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect the standards of work completed, dealing with any matters which arise promptly.
- Work as part of the Management & Supervisory team, suggesting improvements in service provision.
- Supervise and coordinate programme works as part of the cleansing schedule.
- Manage resources proactively to meet and exceed financial expectations.
- Recruit, induct, supervise, and lead employees ensuring effective resource utilization.
- Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met, including PPE usage and safe working practices.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience managing manual or field-based teams; management qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of Waste, Street Cleansing, Grounds Maintenance, or similar environments.
- Proficiency with IT applications including MS Office.
- Financial and commercial awareness.
- Driving license is essential; HGV license is desirable.
