Location: DACI Gymnasium, UK Defence Academy, Shrivenham, SN6 8LA

Salary: competitive plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Perm/FT/ 37 hours per week (Possible shift pattern, 8am - 4pm or 10am – 6pm)

As a Physical Training Instructor you will deliver structured physical training programmes that build capability, resilience, and confidence, helping people perform at their best and creating a positive impact on health, wellbeing and performance.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and deliver inclusive physical training sessions tailored to a range of abilities
  • Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to support growth
  • Promote safe training practices and ensure all activities meet health and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate training records and support reporting requirements
  • Motivate and support individuals to achieve personal and team goals
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through innovation and shared learning

Qualifications:

  • A recognised fitness or physical training qualification
  • Experience delivering structured training programmes in a professional environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with diverse groups
  • A commitment to health, wellbeing, and creating a positive impact
  • The drive to support others to grow and succeed

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required. Depending on the role, a formal Security Clearance (e.g., CTC or SC) may also be necessary. UK residency may apply at some levels of clearance. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will be completed to support effective role performance.
