Hours

Full Time – 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00) with occasional weekend work to support operational requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding and maintenance across a variety of building services and leisure plant equipment.
  • Complete planned preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe, compliant and reliable.
  • Support the operation of pool plant, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose faults and identify effective solutions.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers when required.
  • Assist with minor refurbishment and improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and health and safety legislation.
  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, reliability and customer experience.
  • Participate in an on‑call rota and support out‑of‑hours emergencies when required.

Essential Qualifications

  • Practical maintenance experience gained in a building services, facilities, engineering, manufacturing, leisure, hospitality, commercial or similar environment.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing or engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC or equivalent).
  • Experience working within a leisure centre, swimming pool, facilities management or building services environment.
  • Knowledge of pool plant operations.
  • Experience with HVAC systems, pumps, motors, controls or water treatment systems.
  • Health and safety qualifications such as IOSH Working Safely.
  • Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems.
