Location: Oswestry Leisure Centre, Oswestry, SY11 4QB

Salary: £12.21 per hour plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Part time 6 hours per week, working hours Monday – Friday between 4pm-10pm

To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team – and right now we are looking to recruit for a Health and Fitness Coach to join our team.

As a Health and Fitness Coach in our Leisure team, you’ll inspire our members to achieve their health and wellbeing goals while delivering high‑quality fitness programmes that support their journey. You’ll play a hands‑on role in creating a supportive community, helping people build confidence, improve their fitness, and enjoy their experience every time they visit. You’ll help shape positive outcomes for our members and the local community by delivering engaging programmes, tracking progress, and ensuring everyone feels supported and motivated to move towards their goals.

What you’ll do as a Health and Fitness Coach:

  • Deliver our signature Health and Fitness programmes to members and casual users.
  • Track client progress, attendance, achievements, and challenges using our Trainer software.
  • Carry out health and fitness evaluations including body composition, measurements, blood pressure, and cardiovascular assessments.
  • Support the onboarding process for new members and recommend the most beneficial programmes for their goals.
  • Provide high‑quality coaching, instruction, and motivation during sessions, with strong knowledge of anatomy, movement, and appropriate exercises.
  • Assist members on the gym floor and contribute to a clean and safe training environment.
  • Deliver Personal Training sessions as a Level 3 qualified coach, supporting site revenue targets.
  • Lead group training sessions in our gyms and studios, with training provided if needed.

Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Level 2 Fitness Instruction qualification (mandatory).
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, or willingness to achieve this within 12 months.
  • Working knowledge of health and fitness programming and safely progressing clients.
  • Group training qualifications (desirable but not essential, as full training is provided).
  • A passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals.

Vetting And Checks: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
