Hours: Night Shifts – 5pm to 1am (37.5hrs per week)

Due to the nature of the role and operational requirements, you must live in (or very close to) the NP10, 11, 18, 19, 20 & 44 postcode.

Your contractual working week is an average 37.5hrs per week. You will work a rolling rota including weekends and bank holidays. Evening shifts range from 5pm to 1am, with flexibility required for occasional earlier start or later finish. You are provided an approximate 10‑week advance rota that allows you the flexibility to enjoy meaningful time off.

About The Role

On a day‑to‑day basis, you’ll head out to visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You’ll either work alone or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer. Each interaction presents an opportunity to build confidence and reassure individuals of their safety and that of the public. Successful cases directly help reduce the pressure on the prison system and give ex‑prisoners a chance to reintegrate into their community. The role is varied and offers many opportunities.

What you need to do the job?

Our current Electronic Monitoring Field Officers come from diverse work and life experiences; what matters is your commitment to making a difference. You will learn the necessary skills during a 2‑week initial training course and through shadowing & mentorship from experienced colleagues. Requisite requirements include a current valid UK driver’s licence, basic fitness and good written and verbal communication skills – essential for building relationships and rapport with the individuals you meet.

Additional Information:

This role requires BPSS & Standard DBS clearance, which includes identity verification, employment history checks and a Standard DBS check covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands & warnings in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed to ensure appropriate support for your wellbeing and to help you perform your duties effectively.
