Schedule: Perm/PT/9 hours – shift patterns to support service delivery, including evenings and weekends.

We are recruiting for a Health and Fitness Coach to join our team. As a Health and Fitness Coach in our Leisure team, you’ll support members to achieve their personal health and fitness goals through expert coaching, engaging programmes, and a welcoming environment. Your work will create meaningful, positive impact by helping individuals build healthier lifestyles. This role combines passion with purpose to create a community-focused space where people feel supported, motivated, and inspired to grow. You will guide both first-time gym users and experienced members to build confidence and healthier routines.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging fitness programmes, including group training and small group sessions
  • Coach members on personalised fitness plans aligned to their goals
  • Track member progress, motivate, and adapt programmes for continued success
  • Carry out health and fitness assessments, including body composition and cardiovascular testing
  • Support onboarding of new members and help them start their journey with confidence
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming gym environment while supporting members on the gym floor

Qualifications

  • A Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, with Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification or working towards it within 12 months
  • A solid understanding of health and fitness principles and programme delivery
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for supporting and motivating others
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with a diverse range of members
  • A proactive approach to learning, development, and continuous improvement
