Ready to impact a better future? At Serco, we’re pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust. Leisure Solutions Community Trust encourages active, healthy lifestyles across the local community, providing affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities in a safe, clean, friendly and welcoming space. Their goal is to support healthier and happier lives for everyone.

We want an enthusiastic, customer‑focused team to help make a positive difference every day. We follow the Swim England learn‑to‑swim framework to develop confidence in all our swimmers through fun and enjoyable lessons. Many of our swimmers have progressed to swim competitively and even represent our country. Teaching our lessons means delivering safe, fun and progressive instruction.

We support our teachers’ careers and personal development, offering flexible teaching hours around your commitments. We provide safeguarding and DBS checks, and all teachers are covered by our insurance. You will work across all our leisure centres and receive ongoing training through our Aquatic Training Academy, with clear pathways for progression into management or other areas. All teachers receive a free membership for themselves and one for a friend or family member.

What You’ll Need To Do

The Role: You’ll have excellent customer service skills and be someone who is happy to deal with people of all ages and backgrounds. You will need to hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (Previously ASA) Level 2. Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous but not essential; we can provide the training free of charge. This role requires a DBS check.

Why Join us

Meaningful and vital work: Swimming not only makes people healthier and happier but also teaches a life‑long skill. As a teacher, you will help people develop those skills.

A world of opportunity: Our teachers are integral to running our centres, and they can progress into aquatics coordination or other centre management roles across one of our 55 facilities.

Great people: The work offers a sense of accomplishment as you watch students progress and support the local community. We support you with ongoing training and development.
