Part Time, 32.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. Salary – £25,694.00 per annum, pro rata, plus company benefits.
Forth Valley Royal Hospital has 860 in‑patient beds on one site with approximately 95,000 sqm of area. Ward sizes are generally 32 beds with about 50% single rooms. The Housekeeper will provide direction and guidance to the domestic staff within their own area, liaising with patients and clinical staff to maintain hygiene standards in the domestic and catering environment.
Main Accountabilities- Deliver housekeeping, cleaning, catering and customer services to an agreed standard within clinical areas and departments.
- Carry out duties in accordance with agreed Method Statements.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Comply with the Board’s policies on Health & Safety, COSHH and other statutory legislation.
- Advise the helpdesk on any defects within own area.
- Provide direction and assistance to domestic assistants within the area.
- Serve patient beverages and meals, then clear and clean the area after meals.
- Ensure kitchen/server areas and all associated equipment are clean and tidy at all times.
- Stack and empty dishwasher.
- Distribute clean linen supplies to wards and transfer soiled linen and waste from the dirty utility to the linen chute.
- Order goods and materials as necessary from team leaders.
- Maintain records as required.
- Assist with staff appraisals.
- Undertake cleaning tasks as required to maintain service delivery.
