As a Technical Supervisor in our Leisure Centres, you’ll lead the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant building services across multiple leisure sites, helping to create spaces where communities can thrive. Your leadership will ensure essential systems run reliably, supporting both customer experience and operational excellence. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine technical expertise with team leadership to maintain high-performing facilities. From optimising energy use to overseeing maintenance and compliance, your work will have a direct and positive impact on customers, colleagues, and the wider community.
What you’ll do as a Technical Supervisor
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory inspections, and reactive repairs across building services systems and plant
- Supervise technical colleagues and specialist subcontractors, ensuring safe, high-quality, and compliant delivery of all works
- Oversee swimming pool plant operations, monitoring water quality and ensuring systems meet required standards
- Respond to faults and breakdowns, diagnosing issues quickly and minimising disruption to operations
- Ensure all activities meet health, safety, and environmental requirements, providing technical guidance to site teams
- Monitor system performance and optimise plant and controls to improve reliability, energy efficiency, and customer comfort

- A recognised technical or trade qualification with strong hands-on experience in building services or engineering
- Proven experience supervising maintenance activities or technical teams in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of health and safety, compliance, and industry best practice
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating workloads effectively
- Confidence using computer-aided maintenance or asset management systems
- A valid UK driving licence
Vetting and checks
This role requires a Basic DBS check, which will disclose any unspent convictions in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
