Salary: £14.86 per hour plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Shifts Summer months 8am - 8pm, winter months 8am – 4.30pm, outdoor role including weekend working on a rota.
As a Household Recycling Operative in our Waste Management team, you’ll play a vital role in helping communities recycle responsibly, keeping sites safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone who visits. Every day, your work will support positive environmental outcomes and create a visible impact on local communities. By guiding members of the public and promoting correct waste segregation, you’ll help increase recycling quality, reduce contamination, and contribute to a cleaner future we can all be proud of.
What you’ll do as a Household Recycling Operative
- Assist with opening and closing the household waste recycling site in line with site procedures
- Support members of the public to dispose of waste safely and recycle correctly
- Promote recycling and environmental awareness to site users
- Monitor waste segregation and remove contamination where necessary
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation across the site
- Use plant, tools, and equipment safely and in line with training and instructions
