Location: Hart, RG27 8BW
Salary: £34,997.02 per annum + excellent benefits
Full Time: 40 hours per week
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6.00am – 2.30pm, with occasional work on Saturdays and Bank Holidays.
Interview date: Monday 1st September (an alternate date can be arranged if this isn’t suitable).

Join our Hart team as an HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and play a vital role in keeping your community clean, safe, and sustainable.
Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.
You’ll Be Entrusted To
- Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
- Be the public face of Serco in the community.
- Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round
In our team, we all pitch in! As well as driving the lorry, you’ll work alongside our loaders too – staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you…
- Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Are physically fit and healthy (this is a must, due to the nature of the work!)
- Are a dedicated, friendly and professional team player
