Schedule: 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Ready to impact a better future? As a Workforce Coordinator in our team, you’ll provide day‑to‑day support to Serco colleagues across the contract to ensure workforce engagement, customer interaction and effective use of resources. You’ll help support a positive culture of innovation, continuous improvement and value for money, while assisting the Business Support Manager in building strong working relationships across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible to the Business Support Manager to provide business support services across the IMOS footprint.
  • Advising Serco and customer management team regarding the workforce implications and compliance with Serco workforce policy, process and related activity in support of the workforce.
  • Co‑ordinating the key workforce objectives identified as essential to meet the needs of the customers’ output and ongoing MDF development activities.
  • To be the main POC for all activities relating to the compliance and monitoring for the Time to Work programme.
  • To be the primary interface for the workforce for all immediate personnel and administration matters such as pay queries, leave approval and disciplinary issues and thus minimise time away from core activity.
  • As the SPOC for such issues the WFC will approve/authorise all workforce absences from place of work.
  • Actively support the development of future business opportunities in line with the Business Plan and support any future bid activity for the IMOS support contract.
  • Communicate effectively with all IMOS employees on both a formal and informal basis to ensure Depth business objectives are understood and achieved.
  • Liaison with other IMOS managers to resolve support issues, including conflicting priorities that may otherwise impact contracted operational output.
  • Support the BSM in all workforce‑related matters and ensure urgent arisings are appropriately raised in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in the most appropriate and accessible format, and progress updates provided as required by the BSM.
  • To ensure that across IMOS Serco meet the requirement of both the Authority and the Company in safeguarding classified, commercial or sensitive information and equipment.
  • Identifies organic business growth and works closely with the Contract Lead to identify and deliver new growth on the Contract.
  • To be the Serco communications champion for IMOS, ensuring that all communication is clear, concise and relevant.
  • As directed by Serco Senior Leaders, any reasonable additional tasks that are required to support contract requirements.

  • Hold an appropriate management or business qualification that demonstrates previous managerial experience in a similar role or working environment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, able to enthuse, inspire and engage.
  • Experience and proven competence in business management services; people management, HR services and procedures, finances / procurement / payroll services, operational support; business continuity, operational risk, contract performance, management information, data protection and security.
  • Highly proficient in the use of various Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Creative thinking, able to develop business improvement ideas and innovate.
  • An excellent communicator, with well‑developed presentation skills and a first‑class influencer.
  • Capable of developing partnerships and professional relationships with customer, sub‑contractors and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
