Graphic Designer Salary: £30-35k DOE Location: Hybrid – Attached to one of our offices in London, Hook or Solihull Full Time, Permanent Band 6 Overview Serco works in partnership with the public sector across the UK, delivering essential services to government with an ambition to make a positive impact. We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our UK&E Growth Marketing team. This is a hands‑on, developing role that sits at the heart of how Serco tells its story – producing high‑quality visual content across digital, print and multimedia channels for some of our most senior stakeholders. You'll be mentored by the Graphic Design Lead and work across a team of 20 marketing, communications and digital professionals. It's a role that offers genuine exposure and development for someone early in their career who is ready to grow. Key Responsibilities * Produce high‑quality visual assets across digital and print channels, including web, social media, email campaigns and presentations. * Interpret creative briefs and contribute ideas, working with guidance from the Graphic Design Lead. * Apply Serco's brand guidelines accurately and consistently across all outputs. * Support the creation of high‑profile presentations, reports and video content for senior stakeholders. * Assist with filming and content capture using basic equipment, and support simple video and motion content editing. * Manage and upload content to Brandbank and support internal SharePoint site management. * Work across multiple concurrent projects, meeting deadlines and quality standards. * Champion accessibility in all creative outputs. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has at least 1-2 years of professional graphic design experience and a strong portfolio. This isn’t an entry‑level or graduate role – you’ll need to hit the ground running and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment alongside senior stakeholders. Essential * Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. * Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. * Good layout, typography and composition skills. * Attention to detail and ability to work accurately to brand guidelines. * Professional maturity and confidence working with senior stakeholders. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, including occasional requirements outside standard hours. * Flexibility around travel – primarily hybrid but with periodic visits to Serco offices as required. Desirable * Animation, motion graphics or video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro). * Experience creating content for social media and short‑form digital channels. * Experience working in‑house or in a B2B, public sector or large‑scale corporate environment. * Familiarity with digital asset management platforms (ex. Brandbank, Bynder or similar). * Adobe Express and Canva experience. A portfolio is required as part of your application.
