As a Group Exercise Instructor in our More Leisure Community Trust team, you’ll inspire and support customers to achieve their fitness goals while delivering safe, engaging and high-quality exercise sessions. This role is central to creating a welcoming environment where communities can stay active, improve their wellbeing, and build confidence. Your work will help people of all abilities lead healthier lifestyles, making a positive and lasting impact on the local community.
What you’ll do as a Group Exercise Instructor
- Deliver engaging and safe group exercise classes and fitness sessions including HIIT, circuits, power pump, step, and body conditioning
- Build strong relationships with customers, providing coaching, advice and motivation
- Carry out fitness assessments, programmes and goal setting in line with site processes
- Promote healthy lifestyles and actively support community engagement activities
- Maintain equipment, cleanliness and high standards across the facility
- Support retention and sales activities, including promoting fitness services and digital tools
Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- A recognised Level 2 fitness qualification and CIMSPA accreditation (or working towards it)
- Les Mills qualification (or training provided)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers of all ages and abilities

- A proactive, positive attitude with high levels of integrity and motivation
- A team-focused approach with flexibility and professionalism
This role requires a Basic DBS check, which will disclose any unspent convictions in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
