Your contractual working week averages 37.5 hours. A rolling rota is issued approximately 10 weeks in advance, covering weekends and bank holidays. Evening shifts run from 5 pm to 1 am, with flexibility to start earlier or finish later as required.

Key Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis you will visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You may work alone or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer. You’ll build confidence with each individual, reassure them and the public of safety, and help reduce pressure on the prison system by supporting ex‑prisoners to reintegrate into their communities. You will receive three weeks of training and be accompanied by an experienced Officer/Mentor until you feel comfortable in the role.

What You Need

  • A current valid UK driver’s licence
  • Reasonable fitness to travel and conduct on‑site work
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to build relationships and rapport

Additional Information

All offers are subject to Baseline Personnel Standard security vetting, which includes right‑to‑work/identity checks, a basic criminal record check, and verification of the last three years of employment or academic activity.
